Claire Hancox, a teacher at Pegasus School in Derbyshire, and her class of five students, rented out log cabins at Rosliston Forestry Centre during the last week of school term. Students’ families were also invited, which gave the staff an opportunity to build relationships, whilst demonstrating the methods used to support their children at school.
As a finale to the week students put their swimming skills into practice at
Alton Towers water park ‘Splash Landings’ and a water park in Mansfield. The students have been learning to swim at nearby Callow Park College, which is also part of the SENAD Group.
They also went to the Snowdome at Tamworth, ate out at restaurants and went to the seaside. The seaside trip was a very special one for the Students as they visited his home town of Swansea. They met up with his family and then his dad and brother drove him back to school. He managed the long car journey really well. Well Done! |
