Referrals and Assessments
Students can be referred to the school by parents, social workers or local authorities. Referrals and visits to the school can be arranged by contacting the main office in the first instance.
Students are carefully assessed prior to admission to the school to ensure that we are able to meet their needs, and their needs are in accordance with our admissions policy.
The assessment will involve visiting the student in their current setting, whether that be at home, their current school or in a respite/foster care. We also consult with parents/carers and professionals involved with the young person.
This assessment forms the basis of a carefully designed transition programme, to enable a smooth and positive entry into the school for the student and existing students.
