Activities

Orchard End offers a full range of activities both on and off site and all our residents are given appropriate levels of assistance by trained staff to attend and access a range of appropriate activities tailored to their needs. 

On site activities include:

• Access to the on site training facilities which include, Literacy, Numeracy, Computers, Art and Crafts, Cookery, Music, Television and a range of Life Skills, these can take place either within the home or in the separate training facility.
• Within the grounds and immediate area there is access to Horticulture, Walking, Cycling, Conservation, Sport, Barbeques and Camping.

Off site activities include:

• Access to the local community via on site transport which includes activities such as Money handling, food and personal shopping, trips to Public Houses, Cafes, Restaurants Churches, Swimming Pools, Cinema local events, and places of interest in the area.
• Access to local Colleges which include courses through Worcester College of Technology, Worcester Outreach Groups, Snoezelen sensory centre and Local Charity groups such as ECHO.
• Orchard End also has access to all the facilities at Winslow Court which include Gymnasium, Pottery, Spa Pool, Art groups, Outreach groups, Social contact with peers through organised coffee mornings etc.
