Over the last three years SENAD has been busy updating the vehicle fleet at all its locations. Older cars have been replaced with more up to date people carriers and old minibuses have been replaced with new vehicles.
Two new Renault Master 8 seat minibuses joined the fleet in January 2009 replacing older buses at Abbey Lodge and Pegasus School. With our commitment to passenger safety, basic vans are purchased and the interiors are converted to the specific requirements of each location. Seats are spaced out well to give maximum comfort, front seats are removed and a luggage pen fitted and driver protection screens are also fitted.
A new feature on the vehicles are three point seat belts in bright red so that the driver can easily see that passengers are wearing their belts. The vehicles are also fitted with CD players. These two vehicles bring our fleet strength to 61 vehicles. Last year our vehicles operated almost one million miles. Drivers and staff have enthusiastically received the new vehicles.
