Angela Findlay who joined Alderwasley Hall School as Head Teacher on the 1st September 2009. Prior to this she spent 10 years as Head Teacher of a SEN school in Warrington and previous to that spent 4 years as Head of a SEN school in Flintshire.
With over 30 years in SEN education and residential, Angela has experience in a broad spectrum of SEN needs with an emphasis on pupil attainment, progression and inclusion.
Brian Lock who has joined the SENAD Central Office Team as Group Quality Assurance Manager. Brian’s remit is to help the Group continue to improve the quality of outcomes for young people and adults. Prior to this he was a Social Care Inspection Manager for Ofsted.
Brian has also held the position of Regulation Manager with CSCI in which he had responsibility for both adult & children’s services. He has a background in both residential & field social work stretching back to the early 1970’s. As a qualified Social Worker he is committed to promoting the rights of children and adults and ensuring they are offered a high quality service.
Denbygh Hill who has been appointed as Group Fire Safety Co-ordinator. He is responsible for ensuring Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Training is carried out correctly across all sites. He is also working towards the development of accessible Fire Safety Training for students and developing the Group’s use of scenario training. Prior to joining SENAD Denbygh worked in special needs schools, starting his career in maintenance and then progressing to Site Manager.
Denbygh is also currently ‘Officer in Charge’ of a retained fire station in Herefordshire, having completed 24 years of service. As part of this role he has received significant training, including Fire Safety, Fire investigation and leadership courses. He has also been involved in delivering fire training for many years. He is also a volunteer with West Midlands Ambulance Service as a community first Responder and Qualified to (First Person on Scene) Intermediate level. |
