Five members of the SENAD Central Office team are in training to take place in this year’s Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge which takes place on September the 13th in Nottingham.
This year’s event will raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, Clic Sargent, The Fire Services National Bereavement Fund and Headway - the Brain Injury Association.
In a relay format, the team of five, Richard Atkinson, Debra Weetman, Martyn Rosser, Steve Mycock and Shelley Haywood will follow the same course as the Experian Robin Hood Half Marathon. Each team member will run around 2.5 miles before handing over the 'baton'.
Finance Director, Richard Atkinson said, “Raising funds for a good cause is the main reason for getting involved, but the by-product of getting fit will certainly benefit some of the SENAD team! The team are in training and looking forward to the event."
In 2008 the Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge raised nearly £40,000 for the marathon charities and is the biggest fundraiser of the marathon event.
