Ecclesbourne Plant Centre and Tearoom 

Ecclesbourne Plant Centre and Tearoom was opened by the SENAD Group in April 2011 and is located close to the village of Duffield, Derbyshire. Both the plant centre and the tearoom operate as fully commercial businesses in their own right and as such they offer the young people and adults within our schools and homes ‘real’ work opportunities as well as valuable leisure activities. 

We plan to open these opportunities up to the wider special needs community and are currently working with local authorities and other partners to develop further learning and leisure facilities on the site.

In February 2012 our new transitional adult home, Ecclesbourne Lodge opened on the thirteen acre site. The home, which comprises of a four bedroom house and a 6 bedroom house offers specialised ‘person centred’ support to adults with complex difficulties and challenges. Here they will be able to learn practical life skills and take part in a range of community and home based activities, enabling their progress and transition towards more independent living.
