In order for the recruitment process to suit your requirements, there are a number of ways you can apply for a vacancy:

Residential Support Workers – Days - Ref RSW/ARAN/MAY13

Salary £14,800 to £17,200 dependent upon experience and qualifications.Plus weekend bonus of £12.50 per shift.

37.5 hours per week, 9% total pension, assistance programme, training and development plan and childcare voucher scheme.

Set in the picturesque Snowdonia National Park, the school provides a safe and peaceful environment for young people.  Our pupils engage in a full range of outdoor activities and are also encouraged to access community facilities as part of their care and education plans.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that each young person is cared for in accordance with the highest professional standards and procedures of the establishment.  The job holder will be responsible for being aware of the individual young person’s needs, ensuring that programmes of activities and interest are available, checking clothing and personal possessions to ensure they are in good repair and assisting with the personal care and hygiene of the young people.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work under pressure, be able to communicate with young people and their families, be able to show commitment to the well-being of the young people and have a positive and proactive approach to training and supervision. 

Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Aran Hall offers care to young people with learning disabilities. Rowden House School offers residential care and education for up to 44 pupils aged 11-19 years old with severe learning difficulties combined with difficult and complex behavioural patterns.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude who want to make a positive difference to young people’s lives.  This varied role includes supporting them with their personal care and helping them to achieve in the school setting and during leisure time. You will enable them to take part in a range of activities both onsite and within the community.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided and you will be supported in gaining recognised qualifications in health and social care. It is however essential that your values and personal qualities reflect our high expectations and standards.

A female Residential Support Worker is required in order to meet the needs of our service users on a particular home within Rowden House School.

We are looking for patient and understanding staff to support our service users within the residential setting and in accessing the community and local activities as much as possible. You will assist service users with all aspects of their personal care and development and promote choice and independence at every opportunity. All staff must be flexible and willing to work shifts that include some evenings and weekends:

Successful applicants should have some experience of working with young or vulnerable people within the home or work setting. A relevant NVQ qualification is desirable but not essential as full support in achieving this will be given.
