Job Search

In order for the recruitment process to suit your requirements, there are a number of ways you can apply for a vacancy:

  1. Contact the School / Home / Head Office directly by phone, email or post requesting an application pack through the post. Contact details here. Please ensure you include your name, full postal address, the job title and location of the vacancy.

Bladon House School : Job Vacancies


Bladon House School, part of the SENAD Group is a residential school for children aged 5 – 19 with autism, speech and language difficulties and moderate or severe learning difficulties. Student Support Assistants
Salary £13,680 per annum starting salary, 39 hours per week, 9 weeks holiday.

Working within the residential setting you will assist with a range of care. This will include personal care and hygiene, as well as supporting the students' needs during leisure activities and school holiday periods. You will be expected to work a shift pattern which will include some sleep-in duties.

We are looking for people who are willing to undertake a challenge and provide a hiugh standard of care to young people. You don't need qualifications because we provide a full induction and NVQ training programme. Experience of working in a similar setting would be an advantage, but not essential.

Salary £

Up to £21472.50 pa (depending on qualifications and experience), 39 hours a week

Having responsibility for the management of two teams of Night Waking staff, you will support our young people and their families by ensuring consistency amongst staff teams. You will manage the supervision and appraisal for your staff teams whilst monitoring and developing best practice in the workplace.

Relevant supervisory experience and NVQ3 in Care is essential along with knowledge of the role of the National Care Standards and current legislation in relation to children’s homes.

We require a Maintenance/Health and Safety Manager to undertake the day to day repairs and renewals required to keep the school fully operational.

You should have at least 3 years general experience within maintenance and repairs and preferably hold a time served apprenticeship in a useful and relevant key skill area - such as carpentry, plumbing or electrics for example. Ideally you should have some previous experience in working within a school or caring environment.

Learning Support Assistant
Salary £

14,000 - £17,500 dependent upon qualifications and experience. Term-time only (40 weeks per year) 40 hours per week.

 

You will need to be resilient, reliable and empathetic to the needs of troubled children and young people and have a basic understanding of issues concerning child development. Previous experience, whilst preferred is not essential as full training will be provided. You will also receive regular supervision. The ability to offer experience of teaching a curriculum subject would be advantageous.

Residential Care Officers/Waking Nights/Sessional Workers
Salary £12,000 - £17,000

An ability to work as part of a team with damaged and complex children and young people - we are recruiting all levels of staff and will consider applicants with little or no experience who we feel can demonstrate through interview that they can do this type of work.

Staff will be required to work on a rota basis including unsocial hours, weekends (two weekends out of three) and sleeping-in duties.
