Students and staff at Bladon House School have been demonstrating their entrepreneurial skills raising a total of £1267.58 last term. Enterprise activities at the School include sandwich sales, homemade cake sales and a bacon butty stall.
The students also ran a Christmas Shop for staff, which sold a selection of festive goods including handmade Christmas cards, log bird feeders, seasonal floral bouquets and table arrangements as well as jam, chutneys and pickles. In addition the students are still waiting for the money from the sale of their produce to the general public at Ivanhoe Country Store.
The Horticulture department are pleased to announce that their chickens are now in full egg production, they finally started to lay just before Christmas. They have also some new arrivals, three Muscovy Ducks.
Work has now started on their next large project.... the planting of a fifty tree orchard. The students are also working with the horticulture staff team to look at ways to improve the services to the animals including the supply of water etc.
