Staff and students at Bladon House School are celebrating achieving an outstanding grade for education in their recent Ofsted inspection.
The inspection, which took place at the beginning of February states the school meets its aims and provides an outstanding quality of education, making students well prepared for their future wellbeing, by developing their personal autonomy and academic, social and communication skills.
The report described the curriculum as ‘excellent’ and devised to meet the needs of the wide range of ages and abilities of the students at the school. Ofsted found particular strengths in teaching, including teacher’s relationships with students, consistent behaviour management and well devised planning, which was described as ‘exemplary’.
Ofsted also praised pupils for their exemplary behaviour and outstanding attitudes during lessons.
As well as reporting on the outstanding quality of education pupils receive at the school the inspectors also commended the school for its focus on ensuring the welfare and safety of pupils, which it described as ‘exemplary’. They also deemed the pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development as ‘outstanding’.
