Bladon House School are currently developing their Horticultural Area, which now includes small animals and poultry as well as the fantastic polytunnel which was put up at the beginning of the year.
This will enable students to enjoy horticulture as a life and leisure skill, within the safety of the school grounds, as well as providing career opportunities for young people with learning disabilities and Autism.
The School is currently recruiting a Horticulture Manager who will develop the area into a centre of excellence and identify enterprise opportunities and external links.
Pictured are the pigs, Bernie and Baggins, named by the students, who appear to be settling in well.
The allotment has started to be developed but, due to some very hungry rabbits, has to be put on hold until September when new fencing will be in place.
