Activities
Aran Hall School is set within three and a half acres of grounds in Snowdonia National Park. Students benefit from both grassed and hard playing surfaces plus a mountain bike track.
Students also make use of the local resources in nearby Dolgellau and Bala which include a leisure centre, cinema and shops. Students also visit the coast in the summer months. Other activities include horse riding at the local Riding for the Disabled Centre,
canoeing and hill walking. Students also have the opportunity to get involved in narrow boat craft including maintenance, navigation and steering. Recently one young man has achieved his 'Inland Water Helmsman Certificate', (a driving license for boats). They also get involved in the maintenance of the tow paths, and general conservation work. The boat is used two or three times a week, both during the day and evenings. We also arrange
overnight trips through the summer. |
